Our Beloved President Gordon B. Hinckley Dies. With deep respect and love we honor President Gordon B. Hinckley who passed away Sunday in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 97. He became President of the Church in 1995 after the death of President Howard W. Hunter. He will be remembered as a great teacher, communicator, and temple builder. His great desire was to bring the blessings of the gospel to as many people as could reach.
