Progress

Things have been crazy busy for us. So even though you may not be hearing from me in person, I am thinking of you often. Today we are working on getting the Herbal Lounge repainted so that we can move the office of Maughan and Assoc. over to it (refer to pictures). Once we have that accomplished we will be able to do the rest of our knocking down walls and then begin framing, wiring, and pluming. Things are going smoothly. We are excited to see the end in sight. Again thanks for all your support and help!

Well, here it is. The building we purchased. We are just beginning the demolition. We are hoping to move quickly on the remodel so Jeff can start practicing within a month, hopefully less. We really appreciate all the help we have been and will be receiving. This community really knows how to make a person feel good! I know it won't be possible without all of you!

I love this quote I just read by Elder Boyd K. Packer.

I will try to draw strength from it. I hope it helps you also!

" You were generals in the War in Heaven and one day when you are in the spirit world, you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear,"I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea," or "I helped build the pyramids'" or "I fought with Captain Moroni." And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say "Gordon B. Hinkley" a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven, and all in attendance will bow at your presence. You were held back six thousand years because you were the most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous."
Elder Boyd K. Packer

Sorry! I really do love you!

This past weekend was a hard one for me. I guess I had what you can call a melt down. My poor hunny was the one to catch the brunt of it. I can't say exactly what started it, other than a compilation of all the stress, dissapointments, let downs, delays, jerks, inactivity, ect... I can't wait for all this to end! All weekend, I found that tears were begging to be let loose, but I held back. That is until I had well meaning people ask me if I was okay. Every song, prayer, and talk made me all blubbery again. Totally embarasing. I guess the point of writing this is to let my hunny know how sorry I am and that I love him more than anything. I was snapping at him and being so rude that I made him, my ever patient and loving husband, turn a little ugly too. In all the years we have been married I can count on one hand how many times we have fought. I am so lucky to have such a sweet and caring man. I didn't mean to fall apart on you and I didn't want to be a jerk and I won't take it out on you anymore(I HOPE)! FYI (I can't promise too much when you back seat drive me, but I WILL try:).

My Jeff

We met almost 14 years ago at a tri-stake dance. From the first moment that I saw him, I knew that he was going to be special to me. One of my best friends, Jenn, informed me before I met Jeff that he was HERS and hands off. So my trying to be a good friend to Jenn led Jeff to believe that I wasn't interested. We hung out quite a few times, but always as friends. He dated other girls and I dated other guys. When my friend Jenn started dating another guy seriously, I figured Jeff was fair game and made my move. It took some convincing to get him to go out with me, but as they say... the rest is history! Through the years he has been my rock. When I have been low he has always lifted me back up. You hear stories on how it is the wife that keeps the family going, and the wife that is the spiritual one. In our case, it is him. If things don't turn out good for us, I am sure it is my fault. He is also a wonderful dad. He plays with them like he is a kid himself. He also is a lot better at disiplining them. When he tells them to do it, it gets done! With me ha ha yah right! He is also a wonderful example of service. There have even been times that I have had to tell him to slow down with helping others and spend some time with our family. He isn't much help around the house (unless you count job deligation), but he almost never complains when the house is a mess, and I do appriciate that. I know he isn't exactly perfect, but he IS perfect for me!
I love you!

8 things about myself

I was tagged by my good friend Melissa. I posted this last year, but I will move it up. If you are reading this... Then Tag, It's your turn!

1. I am a girl who needs her beauty rest. If I go too many nights in a row without much sleep, watch out I bite!!!

2. I love to help people out. Go ahead ask me, I'm terrible at saying no.

3. I'm game to try just about anything. From jumping out of airplanes to eating raw fish, I'm not afraid to try. My philosophy is, You can't like what you haven't tried!

4. Just give me a book and I'll have it read and back to you the next day. I am bad at putting a book down once I get my hands on it. I really have to limit myself. Good thing there are no more Harry Potter books!

5. I LOVE taking pictures! Let me say that one more time, I LOVE taking pictures. But that's not all, I love to scrapbook them when I'm done!

6. I LOVE how I look like when I exercise and diet... Too bad I never do!

7. I tend to be very forgetful. What is your name again?

8. I Love living in a clean home, driving a clean car, and always looking well groomed. I guess I'll have that back in about 18 years!

Playing on the Slopes

Caden is Skiing on the left and his buddy Tayden is on the right. Talon is
in the picture just below. The boys are having a blast learning how to ski.
According to the boys Caden is the best skier, then Tayden, then Talon.
They rate your skiing ability based on how often you fall. Oh, I forgot to
mention that they think I am the worst!!

And no wonder they think I stink, I have fallen so many times that I
have lost count. Yesterday was my second time trying snowboarding.
My behind has more spots (bruises) then a dalmations behind!!!
Steph and I were just becoming confident in our new found abilities when
she fell and sprained her ankle and moments later I sprained my wrist.
This was accomplished by putting my
hands out in an attempt to save my incredably sore behind!!!
Oh, and by the way, typing with a sprained wrist is no piece of cake!
Funny thing is, I can't wait to go again!!!
